For over 20 years, Ballet Arts Centre of Winchester has been providing quality dance training in an environment that fosters self-discipline, self-expression, and self-esteem. From young students to adults, BAC caters to a wide variety of interest levels, from recreational to pre-professional training. Ballet Arts Centre's program is based on the commitment to provide the highest quality of instruction from an exceptional faculty, trained not only as dancers, but as caring educators able to address the needs of each individual student. Our aim is to develop well-rounded dancers by stressing the study of ballet - the foundation of all dance forms

- while also offering the more contemporary styles of jazz, tap, and modern dance. Throughout the year, students participate in our professionally staged performances and fun events for all.

Whether chosen simply as a hobby or as a serious discipline, BAC is dedicated to creating an atmosphere which fosters creativity, discipline, and positive influence, all of which can be carried into many other aspects of a student's life. At BAC we believe that dancing provides a feeling of attainment and an expression of joy that is fundamental to the learning experience of every student who walks through our door.

The Black Horse Tavern was a lifelong family dream that has become a reality. My husband Jimmy and I spent countless hours of planning and work, from the beginning stages of finding the right location, to the year-long process of designing and building the space, and then to the opening last August. We gave it everything we had, and fortunately the townspeople have supported us. We are excited every day to share our foods, to see everybody enjoying friends, and to have created what people tell us is “a place that was desperately needed in our town.”

Our Main Menu is varied and offers fresh foods that appeal to many different palates, from our half-pound Angus Burgers to our fresh fish delivered daily from Gloucester. The majority of our recipes are family favorites, with many coming from Kim's Mom Linda (whom you will find in the kitchen on most days).

One of our favorite memories so far was a snowy winter day, with the fireplace glowing, where we had a family of snow-shoers walk down for an early dinner leaving their snow shoes leaning against the lit tree outside. It seemed so magical.
